   Spring will be upon as the Easter Season brings time for reflection in our liturgical year and our own lives. Let us all reflect on how we can be better Knights, Fathers, Grand Fathers and Parishioners. We do a lot of good in our Parishes and Communities, and we can always do more. With 3 months to go, we are half-way there to our intake goals with several Assemblies having met and exceeded their goals. We will have a scheduled Exemplification in London for June with the details to follow shortly. The last two exemplifications that we had there was a good number of young members. When we have the Fourth degree exemplification following a Formation exemplification, we increase the candidates the day of. In the future, we will work closely with the District Deputies and Grand Knights of the new 3rd degree candidates and have our form 4’s completed ahead of time so that we have the completed forms and signatures in the case that the member wishes to continue on to the Fourth Degree. The part I really enjoy about today’s ceremony is the inclusion of our Ladies and Family during the entire exemplification. This is truly a great addition to the whole event.

The Colour Corp continues to grow in strength in our District and our presence at Honour Guard activities is certainly noticeable and I am proud to be part of it. It seems that once we have one or two members getting the uniform it snow-balls and the numbers continue to grow. There is a member who is 91 years old and decided to get the uniform, that is amazing to see. We speak a lot about honour guard at our deceased Sir Knights’ funerals and this is only part of what we do. We have participated in many Corporate Communions with our Parish Priests, Honour Guard for Bishop Fabro at special events, at Founders Day events, Canada Day parades, Remembrance Day parades, Christmas parades and the list goes on.

I wear my fourth Degree Suit to as many functions as I can, even when I am Lector at mass. So, for the Uniform, Wear it Proudly and Wear it often! Make sure that anyone going to the State Convention, take your uniform for the Adoration Chapel, Mass and Dinner Honour Guard.
